My Online Practice

Apricity Behavioral Health is an entirely virtual practice. This means you can get the help you need from the comfort of your own home. You don't have to worry about running into anyone in the waiting room, catching the flu, or getting stuck in traffic! Just grab your computer and a comfortable, private spot in your house and you're there! My goal is to make my sessions feel as authentic as if we were physically in the same room, without the hassle of a commute and with the benefit of additional privacy.

Within a few sessions, attending therapy via video conference begins to feel as though we are physically in the same office.  My therapy practice is 100 percent HIPPA compliant: your personal information—both spoken and written—is 100 percent private and secure.

Here’s How It Works

1.     Contact me via email, phone or through my Contact page to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. This is an important step. It’s your chance to ask me anything you want without any commitment. It’s also your opportunity to get to know me a bit, to see if I am the right person for you.

2.     Go to the client portal to set up an account.  Before continuing, you must read and sign HIPPA privacy statements, just as you would in a traditional physical setting.

3.     Check your email for a message from my virtual office with your username and password.  Follow the directions outlined in the email to begin online therapy.

Pricing and Insurance

I currently do not accept any insurance plans. There are several reasons for this. Insurance companies require therapists to provide a legitimate diagnosis in order to reimburse for services.  This becomes a part of your permanent health record that can affect security clearances, adoption processes and other background checks. Also, insurance companies dictate how many sessions they will cover given your diagnosis. This “one-size-fits-all” policy is the antithesis of my individualized approach. Each person’s situation is unique with varying levels of intensity and circumstance. I do not feel it is appropriate for insurance companies to stress the therapeutic process by pressuring both you and I to work according to their prescribed timeline.

Each 50-minute session costs $60 payable via my virtual office prior to each appointment. If the fee presents a problem for you, please contact me so that we can discuss the possibility of alternate arrangements.

I look forward to working with you.
